有一些蛇却喜欢以蛇为食，比如生活在中南美洲各国的森林中的拟蚺蛇，他们就喜欢猎杀其他蛇类，而且专挑那些毒蛇下手（比如响尾蛇什么的）。
毒蛇之所以令人畏惧，那是因为它们有一个致命的“武器”——毒液，但是拟蚺蛇却能免疫很多蛇的剧毒，从而拥有猎杀它们的前提。

同样，如果一个生物要猎杀现在的人类，他们要对我们现有的武器免疫，至少不怕我们的武器攻击，不然就只能被我们猎杀了。
我们没法模拟这个生物会是什么样子（厉害的科幻作家往往也避开描写外星人容貌），他们可能像人但没有智慧，也可能是拥有更先进科技的外星生物，但前提是我们的攻击对他们无效。
人类社会的变化
当这个天敌出现的时候，我们的社会必将发生翻天覆地的变化，我们将和安逸的生活说再见，我们将没有空余的时间坐在电脑面前码字写文章，我们的一切将都是为了生存，就像现在的野生动物。
我把自己和其他生物区分开来（叫其他生物为动物和植物）的最主要原因是我们拥有一个强大的大脑。感谢进化给了我们前所未有的大脑吧。
所以个人觉得，如果真的有一个针对我们的天敌，我们也会比其他动物更有竞争力吧。具体会发生什么样的变化，我还是喜欢从动物世界里寻找答案。
这次我找到一种生活在非洲小社区里的小型哺乳动物——猫鼬，关注怪罗科普的人应该都知道，无论是视频还是文章我们都做过关于猫鼬的介绍。

它们是一群高度社会化的生物，所有猫鼬(尤其是老弱病残)都面临着来自不同物种的威胁（基本都是大型食肉鸟类）。
为了应对这种情况，它们通常住在安全的地下。它们只有在光线充足的时候才会回到地面上来寻食，这样他们更容易发现捕猎者。
该组织的几名成员同时出去，有些负责瞭望把风，另一些则在寻找食物，一有危险的迹象，瞭望员就向其他群体发出信号。

如果你讨厌躲避猎食者的生活，也肯定会有另外一种生活模式，那就是圈养或者共生模式。
好吧，我承认我很喜欢用动物们打比方，有一种叫清洁鱼的家伙，这种鱼已经失去了攻击其他鱼的能力，也不会伪装自己。
它们帮助一些大鱼清洁身上的微生物和坏死组织，从而得到这些鱼的保护以及食物，非常聪明的生存策略。
同样的事情也可能发生在人类身上，当这样的天敌出现后，我们中肯定有人愿意为这些天敌做一些服务从而得到食物和保护。经过几十代“自身驯化”，他们或许会成为专门服务天敌的一个种群。
不过我相信更有可能出现被圈养的情况，想象一下我们身边的鸡鸭吧，它们不就是被天敌圈养了吗，到时的人类就自己想象吧，经过多少代后我们将失去智慧。
记得刘慈欣在一篇短篇小说里写过这样一种情况，恐龙进化出了智慧，人类只能被饲养在动物园里，那时的人类同样有智慧，但是没有机会发展出科技。
如果这个天敌是一个有感知能力，是能够规划学习的超级生命，那么人类灭绝的可能性还是非常大的，就像百万年前我们把其他类人猿灭绝了一样。
所以，我觉得被关在动物园保护起来，虽然有智慧，但是没有机会发展科技更有可能，而被圈养的作为食物储备的可能性反而低一点。
最后
写到这里，我又想到刘慈欣的另外一部小说《赡养人类》，故事大意是有一颗和我们完全一样星球的人类来到了地球。
他们之所以来到地球却令人省醒。在他们星球上，财富流向一部分人群，贫富差距变的巨大。开始可能是80%的财富掌握在百分之20%的人手上，之后是90%的财富掌握在10%的人手上，最后财富走向极端，100%的财富掌握在一个人身上。利用基因工程这个人有无限的生命，他把整个星球都购买了，空气、水都需要钱才能被其他人使用，而来到地球的那些人就是没有钱购买自己星球上一切资源的被驱逐的人。
我们为了生存需要相应的资源，而天敌不就是不给我们资源的存在吗？

狐獴在大约一年达到性成熟，平均每胎生三只，野生的狐獴一年可生到三胎。狐獴是反覆生殖的动物，一年到头随时都可以繁殖，但大多在较暖的时候生产。报告指出[来源请求]它们没有求偶行为，只有能打得过雌獴的公獴才有机会交配。怀孕期持续约11周幼兽浑身无毛的诞生在地洞里，幼兽的耳朵在十天左右打开，眼睛在十到十四天，它们在四十九到六十三天之间断奶，它们在三周大以前不会上到地上，之後跟保姆在一起在地洞附近约一周左右直到它们加入成兽的觅食团。
通常领导族群的最高阶级配偶才有权繁殖，并会在正常情况下杀光所有非它们所生的幼兽以确保它们的後代有最好的生存机会。它们也会放逐或杀掉生下有冒犯它们幼兽的母兽。

狐獴是会挖洞的动物，住在大型的地底有著数个入口的网状洞穴，只有在白天才离开。它们是非常社会化的动物，住在可达到四十只的群落里，在同一团体中的个体会经常彼此理毛来强化社交的系绊。
领导的配偶会经常的会在团体里的下属身上留下嗅迹记号以表达它们的权威，诸如这类的举动通常伴随著下属舔和梳理领导配偶，这些举动也通常发生在团体成员离开一阵子後的重聚，大多数的狐獴在同一团体的全是领导配偶的手足或子女。
狐獴在它们的群落中表现出利他行为，一或多只狐獴在其他狐獴觅食或嬉戏时，会站哨以警告它们靠近的危险。
当发现到掠食者狐獴哨兵会叫出警示其馀成员就赶紧逃或躲进散布在它们地盤里的洞内，哨兵会是第一个从洞口出现来探掠食者动静持续叫著使其他成员保持在洞内，若是没有威胁了哨兵停止警告的叫声，其他的成员就安全地现身。
狐獴也会看护团体里所有的幼兽，未繁殖过的雌兽在领导的雌兽不在时会为幼兽哺乳。它们也会保护幼兽免於任何威胁，经常是连会威胁它们的性命也如此。在警告危险的警告发出，这些保母会带幼兽到地下避难，并准备守护它们如果危险能尾随而至的话(如会钻洞的掠食者)。若是无法躲到地下保母会聚拢幼兽，并用自己的身躯挡在他们上面。
目前已知狐獴会从事独特的社会活动，包括了那些看起来像摔角或赛跑的活动。由国家地理频道与探索频道的节目可知，野生狐獴不怕人也不怕镜头，对人不会有攻击行为，亦不会逃跑躲藏，显然不把人类当掠食者。

狐獴的叫声近年来被注意到带有意义，对於不同的掠食者会有其特别的叫声。
这些叫声是如何演化出来的目前不明，它们是明显的例子意义并不仅只存在人类的语言，虽然没人[来源请求]会声称狐獴的叫声组成一种语言。
不只一组的野地研究者曾报告目击狐獴用真假嗓音变化地唱进行某种的歌唱仪式。
